How Does This Work?

RosterMaker.com is the perfect tool to help you manage your softball team.  Are you the one who sends the Monday morning email asking who is going to be available this week?!  We’ve got your back.  With RosterMaker.com you will never have to send that email again.  You build it, we send it.  Do you have to scramble to write out the line up each week?  We’ve got your back.  With RosterMaker.com you can set and print your lineup.  We’ll even make a copy for the umpire!

 

To get started you create a team.  Then you add you players and your schedule.  Then you build an email template.  Each week you will go to you player page to set and print the lineup. That’s it!  We will email all active player each Monday to find out who’s playing.

 

TEAMS: 

  • Create as many team as you like.  Be sure to add a link for you team, this is typically the city website that has the schedule and standings.
  • No need to create a new team for each season. 

 

PLAYERS:

  • Add player to a team.  We capture position and jersey numbers so we can put that on the lineup card.
  • You can deactivate players as needed, but you can also set a player as in or out of the lineup for a given week.
  • Come back to your player page to set and print the lineup each week.

 

SCHEDULES:

  • Create a schedule for each team.  The matchup, date/time, and field number are in the title of the email each week so no one will ever ask you when the game is again!

 

EMAIL TEMPLATE:

  • With our email builder you put together the content of the weekly email.  If you can create a document in MS Word, you can build your team email.  
  • We will send the email to all active players.  You have the ability to add additional email addresses to the Cc: and Bcc: line as needed.  Sometime you might want to add another coach to the email or maybe Bcc your wife so she knows the schedule.
  • We’ll stick your teams entire schedule in the middle of the email.  We also give you a top section and a bottom section where you can add your own content.  Typically the top section shows the starting lineup and who still owes team dues!  You can put whatever you want, it’s your team.  Do your thing!

 

SEASONS:

  • Once you have a team created you will create a season.  Creating a season brings your players and your schedule together.  We take over and start emailing the team each Monday.

 

OTHER STUFF:

  • Be sure to check out your profile.  You can control what alerts and emails you will receive.
  • Always send yourself a sample of your email so you can know exactly what it will look like.
